Q: Where can I find out when there are boats up the Lena River to Yakutsk? Where do they start from – Ust Kut? Is there somewhere I can find a schedule online? Questions were received from The Independent’s Moscow Correspondent.
A: Right. Ust-Nera is a good starting point. You may reach to Ust-Nera from Irkutsk by train or flight. There is no online schedule, unfortunately. Reason? Schedule is very flexible and altered all the time. However, you may get in touch with Lenskoe Parohodstvo directly. Here is the website http://www.lorp.ru/tourizm/ with contact info. In Russian only. But you’ll find email address. Travel managers can write in English.
