‘We would like to know the exact dates of the “Ysyakh” event in the year 2009,’ says another request. Here’s the answer.
The right day to celebrate Ysyakh is the day of solstice.
However, locals may host Ysyakh in the course of the whole summer. Every settlement/village/town/city decides when its dwellers are ready and prefer to host the event. It might be June or even August.
Yakutsk usually has celebration well-known as Ysyakh of Tuymaada at the last weekend in June. In 2009 it must be on June 27-28.
