Yes, it is possible to charter a helicopter from Tiksi. The Polar Airlines has got a couple of MI-8 (for 22 passengers, 3 tons load capability) in the airport.

But I must warn you that a helicopter rent is very expensive. This year one hour rent costs 140000 rubles (approx. 5000 USD / 4000 EUR).
A helicopter is the only reliable means of getting to hard-to-reach places on the Lena Delta. Certainly, there is other option – by boats. But that’s not effective, everything depends on weather that proved to be very changeable in the area. To be stuck for a few days due to storms is normal.
